Each and every part in the vehicle has a specific function. It is impossible for a common man to understand the working of each and every part. But is really helpful to understand the basic working of your vehicle. Among many systems working together in a vehicle, the role of steering system is to control the vehicle movement. This steering system has many components in it and one such contributing component is the steering pump cooling fan. Any device when exposed to over heat will not function at its best. If there happens to be release of heat energy there should be some mechanism to absorb or cool it. In the steering system, there is one such device called the cooling fan. Similar to the engine cooling fan, the steering pump cooling fan minimizes the heat generated.
The steering pump cooling fan is a device that is similar to an exhaust fan. The only difference between the steering pump cooling fan and the exhaust fan is the number of blades. The steering pump cooling fan is made with a minimum of five blades. The number of blades may vary depending on the type of fan. The cooling fan can be inch cooling fan with eight blades or silent cooling fans varying from five blades to twelve blades. Everything is fine until the steering pump cooling fan is in good working condition. If it fails, it needs replacement.
