Remanufactured in the USA using OEM components and state-of-the-art electronic testing equipment at a company that has been rebuilding steering racks since the 1980s. Before rebuilding, every rack goes through a rigorous inspection process. Any components that do not meet original specifications are replaced. The internal steering control unit, torque sensor, and position sensor (if equipped) are then tested, repaired and re-flashed, and any codes are repaired and cleared. This steering rack and pinion fits 2011-2014 Ford F-150 pick-ups WITH the Max Tow package or Load Leveling Trailer Towing option. Max Tow is what Ford used in the marketing, but Load Leveling Trailer Towing is how it is listed on the build sheet. There are a few ways to tell if your truck has this package, Max Tow steering racks have 3.75 total turns from lock to lock, non-Max Tow have 3.25 turns. Max Tow equipped trucks typically have a 3.73 axle gear ratio, 7-wire trailer harness, HD hitch receiver, trans. oil cooler, upgraded rear bumper, factory installed trailer brake controller, trailer sway control, and wider mirrors. Non-Max Tow trucks may have some of these options but not all of them.
