This is a brand new manual steering rack and pinion assembly for models with factory manual steering. 100% direct-fit, guaranteed to fit and perform exactly the same as OEM. Because this is a brand new item, it does not require any core deposit or return. Fits all US-spec 1979-1987 VW Rabbit plus 1978 models with a VIN ending in 1783058450 or later, 1985-1993 VW Cabrio, 1978-1984 Jetta and 1978-1989 Scirocco.41 spline input shaft w/ 0.684 in. diameter and 2.250 in. length. 9.125 in. between mounting holes, 20.625 in. long overall length. Does not include tie rods. 3.5 turns lock-to-lock.
